Frequently asked questions
26 answers about the data, the membership levels, AI chat and your account. If none of them covers it, the Comment / Suggestion board reaches the developers directly.
The basics
What the app is, and who it is for.
NChartPro is a web-based charting and analysis workspace for the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). It brings live prices, the daily floor sheet and company fundamentals into one place as charts, screeners and filters.
Creating an account is free, and a free account opens the market dashboard, the charts, the screeners, the floor-sheet filters, portfolio tracking and AI analysis. Paid levels raise the usage limits and unlock the advanced tools.
Prices, indices, the floor sheet and company disclosures originate with the Nepal Stock Exchange. Live prices stream during trading hours; day candles, filters and indicator snapshots are rebuilt after the close. All times are Nepal time (NPT, UTC+05:45).
Every NEPSE-listed stock, the NEPSE index, and all sector sub-indices including Banking, Development Bank, Finance, Hotels, Hydropower, Investment, Life Insurance, Manufacturing, Microfinance, Non-Life Insurance, Trading and Others.
No. It is an analysis tool, not investment advice. Indicators, screeners, probabilities and AI-written commentary describe what the data has done and can be wrong.
Data and accuracy
Where every figure comes from, and when it changes.
Prices stream live during trading hours, so the dashboard and the charts move with the session. Day candles, the screeners, the floor-sheet filters and the indicator snapshots are rebuilt after the close, which is why a filter can still describe yesterday while the ticker beside it is showing today.
The floor sheet is the record the exchange publishes of every completed trade, including which broker numbers were on each side. It is the closest thing NEPSE gives you to seeing the other side of your trade. The pages under Filter group it by broker, by stock and by pattern.
Usually because of when it was computed rather than what it is. Figures are rebuilt after the close, and a site that recomputes at a different moment — or that rounds turnover to crore rather than rupees — will land somewhere slightly different. If a figure looks wrong rather than merely different, report it: nothing on any page is a sample value, so a wrong number is a data problem worth fixing.
Money is shown in rupees with Nepali units: K is a thousand, L is a lakh and Cr is a crore. Share counts are in kitta. You can change the notation in your profile settings.
All of them are Nepal time (NPT, UTC+05:45), including the ones on generated files and in the AI analysis.
No. Nothing on any page is a placeholder or a sample. When there is no data for a period, the page says so rather than drawing something plausible.
Plans and access
How membership levels work, and what happens to a page you cannot open.
There are five levels and they stack: each one keeps everything the level below it opens and adds more on top. Which features sit at which level is set on the admin board and shown live on the Upgrade page, so that page is always the accurate answer rather than anything written here.
A page above your level is hidden from the menu rather than shown greyed out, so you never click into a wall. The Upgrade page is the one place that lists what every level opens. Some pages are also hidden for the soft launch regardless of level.
Yes, for pages that are purchasable with Gold TPoints. Those stay visible with a padlock, and an unlock lasts one month and then lapses. The further below the feature your level is, the more it costs, because you are renting a bigger gap.
Three months and yearly. There is no monthly term. Payment is through Checkout by Fonepay — scan a QR or pay from your mobile banking app — and the price you are quoted at checkout is the price charged.
A referral code is entered once, at registration, and the discount belongs to the person who referred you. It applies to yearly terms, is worked out on the server, and repeats when you renew. An admin promotional offer, if one is running, replaces it rather than stacking with it.
AI chat and analysis
A separate product with its own balance.
No. AI chat is a prepaid product with its own rupee balance, bought on the AI Credit page and charged per message for what that message actually cost. It is not part of any membership level, it has no monthly fee, and the balance does not expire. One level does include a small number of free prompts a day.
AI Chat is a conversation: you ask about a stock or the market and it answers, drawing on the app’s own data. AI Analysis is written for you daily without being asked — sentiment, sector notes, per-stock story cards and a market-psychology read.
Treat it as a well-read second opinion, not a verdict. It describes what the data has done and it can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Every AI surface in the app carries that warning, and none of it is investment advice.
Yes. The settings panel in AI Chat has five analysis areas — indicators, technicals, fundamentals, broker activity and news — and each can be set to automatic, always included, only when you pick it, or never.
TPoints and rewards
The app’s reward balance, in two currencies. Silver points are earned by using the app — signing in each day, posting in Discussion, sharing a chart. Gold points are the ones that unlock a paid page for a month. You are never blocked from using the app when you run short.
Signing in earns points every day, and taking part in the community earns more. Your balance and its history are on your profile.
Your account
Yes — the market pages need one. The home page tells you what the app does and registering takes a moment and costs nothing, and a free account opens the dashboard, the charts, the screeners, the floor-sheet filters, the portfolio and the AI surfaces.
An account is usable in one place at a time. Signing in somewhere new ends the older session, which is deliberate — it is what stops one account being shared around.
Yes, and the layout reflows rather than shrinking. It is a desktop-first workspace though: the dense pages — Kundali, the floor sheet, Dr Live — are built for a wide screen and are far easier to work in on one.
The Comment / Suggestion board under Community is the fastest route, and suggestions there are voted on and carry a public status. For a quick question, the chat bubble in the top bar reaches support directly.
The manual covers every page in detail, with its own walkthrough and annotated screenshots. The chat bubble in the top bar reaches support for a quick question, and the suggestion board is where feature requests get voted on.
