Calendar
There is no calendar on this page. The address exists and the page loads, but nothing was ever built on it, and the real calendar lives one menu away.
What this page is
This route renders a heading and an information icon. The area where a month grid would be drawn is blank, and there is nothing to click.
The working market calendar is under Community, then Calendar. It shows one month at a time with a year picker, marks the days the exchange is closed, and gives you a side panel where you can pin your own private notes to any date.
Note that there are two different kinds of date in the app and this is only one of them. The calendar holds closures and your own reminders. The announced dates themselves — book closures, AGMs, IPO windows, right shares — are in the Knowledge Base under Record.
Why it helps you
- What you want from a calendar is the count of trading days in the week ahead, because a short week changes both volume and how long money takes to come back from a sale. The Community calendar answers that in one glance.
- Your use is the opposite: pinning dates months out so they come back to you. The Upcoming list on the Community calendar gathers every future note across every month, which is the part that makes it work at all.
When to use it, and where to find it
- Whenever you land here by accident, so you know to go to Community instead.
- At the start of a month, on the real calendar, to see where the closures fall.
Try it — a short walkthrough
- 1Expect a blank pageThe body of this route has no grid and no controls. Nothing is failing to load — there is simply nothing here.See this part in detail →
- 2Read the information iconIt states where the working calendar is and what it holds, which is the only useful content on this route.See this part in detail →
- 3Open Community, then CalendarThat is the real page. Use its year picker to look back at past years or to plan ahead into the next one.See this part in detail →
- 4Look up an announced date in the Knowledge BaseBook closures, AGMs and IPO windows are published data under Record, Knowledge Base. Copy the ones that concern you into a calendar note so they resurface.See this part in detail →
Every part of the page
In the order you meet them on screen, each with a close-up of the real thing. The numbers match the dots on the figure above.
The page body is empty
This whole area is where a month grid would be drawn. It is blank because no calendar was built on this route.
How — Nothing to click here.
The ⓘ says where to go
The ⓘ beside this heading points to Community → Calendar. That page marks the days NEPSE is closed and lets you keep your own notes against any date.
How — Read it, then open Community → Calendar from the top menu.
- For book-closure, AGM and IPO dates themselves, the reference is Record → Knowledge Base.
Reading the numbers
- The exchange trades Monday to Friday. Saturday and Sunday are the weekly closure, and both show in red on the real calendar alongside official holidays.
- Holiday lists are published one year at a time. A year with no published list simply shows no holidays, which is missing data rather than an open market.
- Notes on the working calendar are stored against your account and are private. Adding or deleting one needs you to be signed in; browsing does not.
What it does not do
- This page holds no data of any kind. It cannot show holidays, it cannot store a note, and it has no year picker.
- The real calendar has no reminder or notification. A note only ever appears on that page, so it works only if you open it.
- Neither page converts between the Gregorian and Bikram Sambat calendars. A date given to you in BS has to be converted before you can use it.
